So much help is needed.

With this in mind, we started with education and have created a course to teach Respect for Animals to the students of La Paz. It is crucial to stop the circle of neglect that has formed over many, many years due to lack of knowledge.Animals have been disregarded, neglected and abused. Many homeless dogs survive on bits of garbage, are riddled with parasites, fleas and mange. They are often nursing horrific injuries due to abuse or unattended wounds from accidents or fights. In many cases the owners cannot afford to feed their pets or seek medical attention, let alone spay or neuter them.

What does not cost anything is knowledge and respect. If we can change the mindset of the younger children and get them comfortable with the idea of spay and neuter, then slowly, we can help these defenseless animals.
In the first 3 months of operation, we aided in over 900 free sterilizations.

Like so many of the dogs we see, Princessa was severely infested with ticks when she arrived. She was cleaned up, treated and adopted.
