Our Mission is to educate, spay and neuter.
So much help is needed. Prior
to starting the charity we spent time discussing the best way to make a change
in the lives of these beautiful, sad dogs. Anyone that has been to Mexico knows
what we mean. The small pup barely able to stand, infested with ticks, fleas and
parasites, the older dog that has been hit by a car, left lying alone on the
side of the road, not dead but alive enough to watch the people walk by, immune
to his/her suffering. With these thoughts in mind we knew education was a
priority.
We needed to change the mindset of the children; to stop the cycle of
neglect that has formed over many, many years due to lack of knowledge. Animals
have been disregarded, disrespected and neglected. There are many homeless dogs
and cats trying to survive on bits of garbage, dogs riddled with disease or
nursing horrific untreated injuries from abuse or unattended injuries from
fights or accidents. In a lot of cases the owners can not afford to feed their
pets or seek medical attention for them, let alone spay or neuter. What does not
cost anything is respect.
If we can change the mindset of the younger
children and get them comfortable with the idea of spay and neuter then we can
begin to help these defenceless animals. We can't do it alone.
Please
help us. . . .
